We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate SEO Manager to join our South Korea team either remotely or based in Seoul. This role will be privotal in driving our organic growth in the Korean market and requires a candidate with exceptional SEO expertise in Naver and Google, and fluency in both Korean and English.
Job Overview
The SEO Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies for the Korean market. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of local search trends, search engine algorithms, and the Korean digital landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective SEO strategies that meet our client's KPIs. Tailor SEO campaigns to the Korean market, aligning with SEO best practices.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research, analyze search trends, and identify opportunities for organic growth.
- Optimize and create website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements to improve search engine rankings.
- Manage technical SEO aspects, including technical SEO audits, site speed, mobile optimization, and site architecture.
- Build and recommend Naver blogging outreach, partnerships, and content marketing solutions.
- Monitor, analyze and report on SEO performance using SEO tools (e.g. Screaming Frog, Dragon Metrics, Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMRush, etc.) and provide regular reports.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in both Korean and global search environments.
- Adapt global SEO strategies to the Korean market, considering cultural nuances and local search behavior.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, marketing, and web development, to ensure SEO is integrated into all online activities.
- Support the company's own marketing strategy and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of success in improving organic search KPIs.
- Native Korean and fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, practices, and tools.
- Strong understanding of the Korean search engine landscape and local SEO strategies.
- Experience with website analytics platforms and SEO tools.
- Execellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams locally and globally.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with global SEO strategies and adapting them to local markets.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Overseas or international experience is a plus.
