The Egg is looking for aspiring data engineers/developers to join our growing team of international digital experts.

This role is for the Regional Team specializing in digital multi-channel marketing across search, social and display across Global markets. This is an opportunity to develop in the areas of data engineering, data architecture, platform + application development, data science and automation.

Successful candidates will have a chance to work with an innovative team on exciting regional and global client projects for top international brands. They will gain an advanced understanding across search and social media data such as Google, Bing, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.

Seniority of position offered will be relative to experience.


  • 1 - 2 years experience in data engineering, development, automation, data science or analytics is an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates with strong programming skills or relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
  • Strong Python programming skills.
  • Hands on experience in SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL) and understanding in ETL process.
  • Knowledge or experience in communicating with API (e.g. sending requests to API and handling responses from API) is a plus.
  • Experience in a Linux environment.
  • Knowledge or experience in cloud computing service (e.g. Azure or AWS) is a plus.
  • Experience in data visualization software (e.g. Power BI or Tableau) is a plus.
  • Passion for technical problem solving, crunching numbers and finding patterns from data is a must.

Key Responsibilities

    • Build and manage ETL data pipeline from variety of data sources to serve internal and external users.
    • Work with APIs from ad platforms including but not limited to Google Ads API, Facebook Marketing API, LinkedIn Marketing API, Twitter Ads API, and Bing Ads API
    • Develop custom innovative data analytics and data mining solutions.
    • Develop tools for the internal teams to streamline and automate ad management tasks.
    • Support automation and data science initiatives for search engine marketing, paid media with existing data science and development team.
    • Apply data science techniques to monitor, analyze key metrics and provide recommendations to clients.
    • Support managing cloud or on-premises Linux server and database.
    • Scale insights into best practices and share with internal teams.
    • Support internal marketing and client campaigns as part of training, research and development initiatives.
    • Demonstrate passion for the search engine and online marketing space by staying abreast of industry news.
