As a standalone HR Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our HR function, operating with a high degree of autonomy and directly contributing to shaping our HR strategy and practices across the group. You will be responsible for executing and streamlining HR operations, leading learning and development initiatives, and driving the recruitment process. This hands-on position requires an HR professional with experience in managing multiple jurisdictions and the ability to independently handle a broad spectrum of HR functions, along with a strong appreciation for cultural diversity as you work with employees, managers, and external partners from various backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
HR Operations:
- Independently manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws in each jurisdiction.
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exist processes.
- Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with both global standards and local regulations.
- Ensure all employee records are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with legal requirements.
Learning & Development:
- Identify training needs and design L&D programs to support employee development and align with business objectives.
- Work closely with departments to facilitate talent development plans.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and self-improvement across all teams.
Recruitment:
- Create and implement recruitment strategies to attract and secure top talent across diverse markets.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from job postings to selection and making offer to closing.
- Develop employer branding initiatives to enhance the agency's appeal as a desirable workplace.
- Gather market salary benchmarking from secondary source, compile and update for compensation reviews.
Payroll and Compensation:
- Responsible for payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across all locations.
- Collaborate with external payroll providers to manage payroll-related issues.
- For Hong Kong, prepare payroll, payslips, MPF, tax returns, and HK visa applications.
- Source, compare and recommend employee benefits to remain competitive in the market.
HR Advisory and Support:
- Provide HR guidance and support to management and employees, promoting informed decision-making.
- Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Support organizational initiatives to foster a cohesive and dynamic company culture.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Human Resources working experience, preferably within a generalist or L&D function and in a standalone capacity.
- Experience, ability, or strong interest in supporting and collaborating with international colleagues across multiple time zones and diverse culture.
- Comprehensive HR knowledge, especially hands-on experience in learning & development, recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
- Knowledge of local compliance and labour laws across multiple jurisdictions especially China, and able to troubleshoot issues where applicable with local outsourced HR companies is a plus.
- Experience within the marketing agency or technology sector preferred.
- Strong written and oral English and Chinese (Mandarin) required. Japanese or Korean is a plus.
- Familiar with BambooHR, Microsoft Teams, and Teamflect is desirable.
